This much-loved 18th-century pub was moved following the Arndale Centre bombing in 1996, but no amount of shifting can change its jovial atmosphere. Tolkienesque, it has an old-world charm and it serves a great selection of ales, pies and the kind of fare you’d expect in an 18th-century hostelry. |
