Cafe 't Smalle

If you are in Amsterdam in the summer, this is the pub to visit. The interior is pure 17th century and loaded with atmosphere, although a bit on the small side (smalle is Dutch for narrow). Fortunately, the pub is located on a small canal and has erected not only a terrace but also a dock, so that customers can arrive by boat. It is unlikely you will find a much more picturesque pub location anywhere in the city. |
