Le Bistro has been famous since the days when the guests of the Orient Express stayed at the Hotel Esplanade. The art nouveau theme of that era has been retained, the cutlery service being a replica of what was used on that very train. Inspired by this international tradition, Le Bistro is the only restaurant in Zagreb to offer classics of French cuisine, including desserts. But it’s also famous for zagorski strukli—hot cottage cheese pies, a regional speciality. A delightful spot for a light lunch.
