This is a tiny restaurant on a side street in Cologne’s Südstadt, where the ‘mum’ of the house cooks traditional Spanish cuisine. It’s said to be the best tapas in town and the all-family staff do their best to ensure the reputation remains intact. The place is so small it probably wouldn’t meet with British or American health and safety regulations, tables are cramped next to each other and you can’t avoid bumping into your neighbours when you try to get out of your seat. However, this adds to the cosy ambience of the place, and doesn’t detract from the fact that the food is truly excellent.
