Located nomadically between Midtown and Buckhead, MidCity Cuisine is equally caught between American cuisine with European accents. It may not be in a neighbourhood, but it exudes neighbourhood restaurant. The project of Atlanta celebrity chef Shaun Doty, MidCity Cuisine celebrates spare, smart dining from the earth tone dining room to the open kitchen and all it produces. The mildly inconsistent menu contrasts family-friendly fare – PB&J panini and Niman Ranch hot dogs – with gourmet – hanger steak with chickpea fries and fettuccine with chicken livers. Homemade Kit Kat’s and Sunday night all-you-can-eat pizza are celebrated.
