Built in 1834 this beautiful townhouse is evocative of mid-19th-century NYC. Rooms are kitted out in gorgeous antiques, and include overstuffed couches, decorative mirrors and Frette bed and bath linens. An extensive 1994 revamp has given the old building all the modern amenities of the day, and include central air conditioning, Internet access and work desks as standard. Downstairs it’s definitely worth investigating the sumptuous five-course high tea experience at Lady Medl’s Tea Salon. |
