With a very central location, the Semiramis is always easy to find by the big purple sign on its roof. But the best view you’re likely to get from your room is of the flyover at Victoria Bridge. Two swimming pools, one indoor, one outdoor, a reasonable Chinese restaurant and a lively nightclub make up for comfortable but rather dull rooms. Evening entertainment includes oriental music, belly dancing and a host of Syrian singers. There are also good exercise facilities, with a fully equipped gym, sauna and massage.
