Tourist traps Food prices in Niagara Falls are scandalous and the quality not much better. Take a picnic lunch or head to nearby Niagara-on-the-Lake, or stop at a winery along the way, for a decent meal.

Tipping etiquette In general, tipping is not included on restaurant bills, though many restaurants add a 15% service charge for groups of six or more. This is usually mentioned on the menu and will be indicated on the bill. The average tip is 15- 20% on food/bar amount before tax. A 10 to 15% tip is acceptable for taxis.
