I live in Sharq. This is a nice area close to Gulf Street, and great for strolling along the Gulf and restaurant promenade in the evening. The British Embassy and Emir’s palace are around the corner, so this area is quite popular with western expats and locals. Yacht Clubs, Marina and shopping centres are all easily accessible.

What advice would you give a visiting business person?

Practice your negotiation skills. Relationships are very much built on trust and over a certain amount of time, so any business ought to be conducted with diplomacy and with excellent negotiating skills.
