Zurich Airport
It takes just 10 minutes to get from the airport to central Zurich.
Train Once at the airport, follow the directions to the ‘Bahn’ (railway). You’ll see blue boards indicating the platform numbers (Gleis) where the local Swiss trains (SBB) arrive and then head to the main station of Zurich, the Hauptbahnhof. The service is excellent, with trains running between the main city and the airport every 10 minutes during peak hours. For train timetables, check out

Bus A network of 11 bus lines criss-cross between Zurich airport and other areas in the canton, including Glattal, Zurich-Oerlikon and Winterthur. These buses depart every 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes depending on time of day and destination. Head to the multistorey car parks 2 and 3. Along the way, you may want to check out the new airport shopping centre. Get your tickets, timetable details and other information at any of the SBB railway stations, or from the bus terminal. Hotel bus If you are checked into a hotel that provides pick-up service, step out of Terminal 1 and 2 of the Airport, and you will spot your hotel bus or coach.
Airport Taxi service at 0848 850 852 and head to Arrivals 1 and 2. You’ll find your cab waiting. A taxi from the airport to central Zurich costs CHF50 (about €35).
Trains, trams and buses are all efficient, comfortable and extremely punctual. You can count on public transport in Zurich. Cable cars, funiculars or mountain trains can take you to the top of the Alpine peaks. Buy a transport pass at the ticket counter. Train The SBB or the Swiss Federal Railways offers a variety of discounts and passes. Depending on your itinerary, you could get a Swiss saver pass, the fl exi pass, half fare card or Swiss card.
