The journey from the airport at Larnaca, the main one on the island, takes around 45 minutes, and the taxi ride costs about CYP20. Apart from a private car, or hire car, this is the only way to get direct to Nicosia. A bus from the airport goes first to Larnaca town, with connections to Nicosia, but this takes a very long time.

Visas are required by nationals of most other countries.
