Sturup Airport
This small international airport with two runways is located 30kms outside Malmö (For more information, visit www.sturup.se or Tel: 613 1000).
Taxi There is a taxi rank just outside the main entrance. The fare to Malmö varies depending on taxi company, but should cost around SEK370-SEK450, VAT and tips included. The journey takes around 50 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to always ask for a fixed price.
Car Choose either Road 108 or the E65 and follow the signs towards Centrum. Bus The airport coach Flygbussarna goes to Malmö central train station (Centralstationen) and takes approximately 45 minutes.
Copenhagen Airport–Kastrup
The nearest airport is the Danish international airport Kastrup, located at the foot of the Öresund Bridge outside Copenhagen. (For further information, visit www.cph.dk or Tel: 45 3247 4747).
Taxi There is a taxi rank reserved for journeys to Sweden outside Terminal 3. The fares vary depending on taxi company but should cost SEK590-SEK 650 (including VAT and tip) and take about 30 minutes.
Car Follow the signs to Öresund Bridge and Malmö. Crossing the bridge by car takes about 10 minutes, and costs SEK280 one way (to be payed at the Swedish end of the bridge). Once on Swedish soil, follow signs for Malmö and Centrum, which will take you straight to the heart of the city.
Train The Öresund trains run around the clock from Kastrup to Centralstationen and take 35 minutes. A single fare is SEK8. (Visit www.skanetrafiken.com, or Tel: 0771 777 777).
Bus Catch the Gråhundsbuss, line 999, which departs from Terminal 3 (Mondays to Saturdays) and takes 40 minutes. It makes four stops in the centre of Malmö. A single fare is SEK60, and a return ticket is SEK100 (valid for 24 hours).
The fastest and easiest way to get around the city is by bicycle. If you don’t have a bike, the second best option is the bus.
