A very laid back sort of place, suiting many types, not just jocks. Soccer lovers should know that Lucky Bar’s TVs are tuned to soccer matches going on around the world. It’s an especially fun bar when the World Cup is being played, since the bar receives permission from the DC Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to [open] for business in the morning (bars normally are not permitted to sell alcohol until late afternoon).

Politiki is a goofy establishment, with two themes going on. The first floor is a temple to the Pittsburgh Steelers (football) and the Penguins (ice hockey) – the owner hails from Pittsburgh. That’s the sports bar. Meanwhile, downstairs, a Hawaiian luau is underway, with a tiki bar and hula dancer decorations.
