This is where you go in the pre-dawn. when you’re hungry and you’ve got a discriminating palette. [open] till 4am Friday and Saturday, till 3am other nights, the Bistro turns out fine omelettes, hangar steaks, and frites, no matter the hour.

This easygoing nightclub attracts college kids weekends and an older crowd weeknights. Live groups (alternative rock, indie and others) perform in the concert hall, but there are other places in the club for you to hang out. No cover if you’re just coming to hang, cover of $5 to $20 if you’re headed for the concert hall.

This is a neighbourhood joint, a new place with an old feel about it. Its pluses include a long bar in a narrow room, a rooftop deck, and 50 bourbons on hand. [open] until 2am weeknights, 3am on weekends.

The way most people find out about this place is by wandering in, as you will observe if you visit. Expecting sushi maybe, they are more than startled at the karaoke performances that take place upstairs. So tourists become part of the entertainment. The sushi is excellent, by the way.
