Top hard-driving, mostly rock, performers take the stage in this converted warehouse, everyone from Sheryl Crow to Simple Plan. You stand up here, side by side with 1,200 other music lovers. Most shows are all ages.

 

 

This is where you go in the pre-dawn. when you’re hungry and you’ve got a discriminating palette. [open] till 4am Friday and Saturday, till 3am other nights, the Bistro turns out fine omelettes, hangar steaks, and frites, no matter the hour.

 

This easygoing nightclub attracts college kids weekends and an older crowd weeknights. Live groups (alternative rock, indie and others) perform in the concert hall, but there are other places in the club for you to hang out. No cover if you’re just coming to hang, cover of $5 to $20 if you’re headed for the concert hall.

 

Pricey, but worth it if you love jazz. Two shows nightly at 8 and 10pm showcase the talents of Sonny Rollins, Wynton Marsalis, and their ilk.
