The AAA Five-Diamond-rated Sutton Place Hotel is Vancouver’s premier business hotel, located in the heart of the city and just one block away from Robson Square Conference Centre and Vancouver’s finest shopping, arts and entertainment districts. Next to the hotel – and sharing the same lobby and concierge facilities – the apartment side is meant for longer stays. Luxury is a magnet for celebrity, which might explain why Hollywood’s beautiful people like to play See-and-Be-Seen at La Grande Residence. Looking out the windows at the tulips lined up against Sutton's Place's wrought iron fence, you might imagine you were in Paris, at the Embassy, n’est-çe pas? (There is a minimum seven-day stay.)

Fully remodelled in 2000, the Pacific Palisades Hotel is one of Vancouver’s most exciting hotels. They do not have a business centre, as such, but ever room is equipped with high-speed internet access, and they have fast, slick laptops for rent to save you hassling with foreign power sources and transformers. Their restaurant, Zin, is fashionable and serves an interesting variety of comfort foods. There are no meeting facilities, per se, but a very large banquet area can be divided for any use. Lastly, a complete health centre features the best available cardio and workout equipment, pool and Jacuzzi to soothe every pore and fibre of your being.

Truly a home away from home, offers outstanding executive Vancouver accommodations in the city’s popular West End district. This British Columbia hotel is the perfect base from which to conduct your business or explorations. Set up entirely for long-term stays (although you can stay for only a night or so), this is apartment living at inexpensive hotel rates. Accordingly, there are no real business or dining facilities on the premises, and the reception desk acts as a concierge – but daytime only. There is a fax machine for guests’ use in the reception area. Their one nod to convenience is a good one: high-speed internet access in every suite.
