This happening Yorkville spot manages to feel bright and airy despite its location in a windowless low-ceiling basement. The minimalist décor is a mélange of white, grey and bleached wood. Cocktails range from dry classics to colourful concoctions. Asian-Med fusion fare is a refreshing change from the regular Cal-Ital menu. Fab patio.

This sleek, stylish bar was designed by renowned Toronto designer Brian Gluckstein. Neutral colours and candles, oversized couches and chairs encourage guests to linger over a signature martini or single malt, while scouting the room for Hollywood stars. Or hang out at the 20-ft onyx bar. Exceptional all-day nibbles.

This trendy street-level glass box is dwarfed by the towering black modernist TD Centre towers. Filled with suits, the decadent den of leather and lit woods is the spot for chef/owner Mark McEwan’s delish signature martini and a nibble from his luxe restaurant below.

Chrome, stainless, silver vinyl and white arborite finishes give this upscale bar and restaurant its decidedly cool look. Wines and cocktails are well-chosen, the food is divine and a glassed-in smoking lounge accommodates smokers. Check out the inviting summer patio for drinks or a full meal.
