This small nightclub down a steep set of stairs keeps everyone fantasising that they’ll see one of the Philadelphia 76ers. A DJ spins retro dance music like New Order and Erasure between the two end cap bars from Wednesday through Saturday.

A kitschy Western decor permeates the first floor of this bi-level pool hall. Upstairs, pool sharks play in a 1940s lounge setting with dim lighting and plush loveseats. The short pub menu features pub favourites such as chicken tenders and wings.

Above the Latest Dish, this small dance club has a regular rotation of DJs who spin a mix of hip-hop, rap, and techno, and ?uestlove (of The Roots) spins a mix of hiphop and reggae when he’s in town.

This pub resides in renovated warehouse space and mimics many similar breweries nationwide. A sampling of the breweries homemade beers includes a Kolsch, Irish Red and American Amber.

The South Street crowds don’t head for Lorenzo’s for the greasy countertop tables and wobbly stools in a backroom that is no bigger than a walk-in closet. No, it’s the pie itself, with a tasty tomato sauce and chewy crust that makes this a great late night spot.
