Built in 1892 and steeped in history, the Brown Palace is Denver’s most distinctive luxury hotel. Presidents, European royalty, Winston Churchill, and the Beatles have stayed at this unique triangular hotel. All rooms have dual telephone lines. Executive staterooms feature printer/copier/fax machines, safes, and laptop recharging stations. The business centre is staffed and the lobby has full wireless capabilities. 'The Brown’ features a cigar bar, a pub, and three restaurants, including The Palace Arms, an elegant Denver mainstay. Afternoon tea is served daily in the nine- storey Victorian atrium. The hotel has 13,000 square feet of meeting/function space and can accommodate meetings of most nature and sizes.

Probably the most convenient of Denver’s upscale hotels, the Westin is on the 16th street mall, which offers a free shuttle service. The lobby was renovated in 2003 and every guest room will have been fully renovated by April 2004. Every guest room has high-speed internet access and dual telephone lines. Some rooms have fax machines. The hotel has a year-round rooftop swimming pool and fitness centre. The 20,000 square feet of meeting space can accommodate up to 1,000-person receptions. The Palm is a first-rate steak house and a favourite power-lunch spot for Denver’s movers and shakers.
