This large, sprawling hotel encompasses two buildings connected by a skybridge. The hotel has 133,000 square feet of meeting space and hosts hundreds of conferences and special events. The hotel definitely is geared for the business traveller. Rooms have high-speed internet access and large work desks. The hotel has underground parking, an all-season outdoor swimming pool, sauna and coin- operated laundry. The hotel is on the 16th Street, but it provides in-house options for visitors too tired to venture far, including a nightclub and Bravo! – a fine cuisine restaurant that features singing waiters.

 

Built in 1892 and steeped in history, the Brown Palace is Denver’s most distinctive luxury hotel. Presidents, European royalty, Winston Churchill, and the Beatles have stayed at this unique triangular hotel. All rooms have dual telephone lines. Executive staterooms feature printer/copier/fax machines, safes, and laptop recharging stations. The business centre is staffed and the lobby has full wireless capabilities. This elegant, 17-storey, business hotel is a convenient six-block walk to Denver’s 16th Street pedestrian mall, and accessible to the entire downtown. All suites include a small kitchen, and most are separate from the bedroom while some are combined bedrooms and kitchenettes. The hotel provides free parking, as well as a free van service within a five-mile radius from 7am to 11pm. The upscale restaurant offers continental cuisine, and the lounge features some of Denver best live jazz from Thursday to Saturday. This Victorian mansion was built in 1891 and refurbished into a B&B in 1994. The neighbourhood is an eclectic mixture of historic private homes and small office buildings. While a little off the beaten path, the inn still is an easy five-block walk to downtown’s 16th Street mall. It has its original woodwork and 8-foot windows. All rooms have private baths, refrigerators, cable television and telephones. Some have fireplaces, some whirlpool baths and some have balconies.
