Dallas / Nightlife / Sports Bar

McKinney Avenue bars can be a little too upscale for their own good. Frankie’s, however, still has charm to match the intriguing, medium-priced menu. (Hint: you can get chicken wings here but with Thai seasoning.) Pretty decent pool tables, too.

If everything is bigger and better in Texas, then you’ll know why this downtown Hooters is always hopping. Beautiful young women sporting the infamous chain’s orange short-shorts and tank tops will bring your buffalo wings and oysters to your seat. Yes, the food is quite palatable, and yes, the TVs will show the big game, and yes, you might even notice.

While anyone can throw up a satellite dish and serve really bad chicken wings under the guise of being a sports bar, M Grill is the standard to which all others must aspire to. Excellent designer pizza and more adventurous fare set this place apart – and it even has TVs on the outdoor patio.

A billiards hall that goes sports crazy on Sundays like any good Texan bar should, the Old Crow has a bevy of young waitresses – and customers – who give Hooters girls a run for their money, not to mention the lowest prices for libation around. Check out Thursday nights, when the DJ plays 1970s hits.
