Chicago / Nightlife / Bar

This intimate, cedar-lined wine bar with communal seating owned and operated by the culinary team behind next-door Blackbird. Complementing the exceptional wine list is a stellar charcuterie menu.

One of Chicago’s largest Irish pubs, this three-storey hostelry was designed and built in Ireland, shipped to Chicago and rebuilt piece by piece. Brew and menu are what you’d expect.

Welcome to the plush life at this darkly romantic underground bar. A fireplace, cushy red couches and champagne that flows like water add to the sex appeal.

Who doesn’t love a kitch tiki bar? This Polynesian send-up includes the requisite blender drinks, servers in Aloha shirts, dried blowfish lights and plenty of wicker. Thankfully the music veers from this theme – its more Bob Marley than Don Ho.

With a Willy Wonka-meets-Frank Gehry interior, a full menu of decadent desserts, bartenders that mix up everything from traditional gin and tonics to sour sweet appletinis, and a crowd that’s dressed to impress, this spot is definitely sweet.
