Despite its fabulous location near Copley Square in the heart of the Back Bay,the Charlesmark is a surprisingly affordable find among Boston ’s boutique properties. What this pleasant, contemporary hotel lacks in hipster sophistication,it makes up for in whimsy (see the gigantic clock and floor-to- ceiling windows in the reception lounge) and value.Minimalist rooms are small but bright, filled with custom-made oak furnishings. And,while the Charlesmark has no restaurants, the hotel does offer evening ‘wine hours ’ and complimentary buffet breakfasts and is but a few footsteps from some of the best eats in the city.
