Decorated in superb Persian style, Ali Qapu is a really traditional Iranian restaurant. Friendly waiters clad in traditional clothing will surely give you a taste of Iranian hospitality and gentility. Go there for the experience. It is usually quite crowded. Don’t miss the narghiles with a wide variety of tobacco.

Buf is a typical, fast-food restaurant and usually a little crowded. The pizza is good. It’s a bit like an Iranian version of Pizza Hut.

Immediately after you enter this establishment, you feel you have stepped into a seventeenth-century Tehran restaurant. Old Iranian culture seeps through the place. Narghiles (water pipes) are available on the traditional raised platform seating, which also serves as a table. People usually take off their shoes and sit cross-legged to eat. One of the best and only places in town to enjoy an excellent meal while listening to musicians performing exquisite traditional Iranian music. The food is great, although prices are fairly high, but it’s worth it for the memory. It’s one of the favourite hangouts of Tehran artists.

A relaxing place, beautiful and clean, offering first-rate traditional Iranian food. It’s a bit crowded but it has fast service.

A famous restaurant in Tehran, Hani offers an incredibly wide range of delicious traditional meals at quite reasonable prices. Try their fesenjoon. Don’t be afraid by the look of it, just taste it, you’ll love it. Hani also has a fast-delivery service.
