Personal service, quiet and cheap the Alexandre is located on a hill in Achrafieh but off the main beaten track of Beirut’s executive scene. It’s aging – the Alexandre was one of the famous wartime hotels where intrepid journalists stayed when they were in East Beirut – but it’s relaxing and near to the ABC mall, cinema and restaurant complex.
