An elegant, quieter casino in the luxurious Hotel Esplanade. A private VIP area is available for guests requiring a little discretion. [open] 8pm-midnight.

 

Home to the some of the tallest people in Europe, perhaps it’s natural that basketball’s such a big sport here. Cibona regularly dominates the national league, so this is a great place to see some quality play. You can pick up tickets and souvenirs in the fan shop in the circular Cibona tower.

 

One of the newest and most comfortable multiplexes, CineStar boasts love-seats where the armrests have been thoughtfully omitted. Shows big-[name] Hollywood films plus a few regional and European titles. Films are almost always in the original language with Croatian subtitles.

 

Designed by Viennese architects Fellner and Helmer, it’s worth catching a concert, ballet or opera here just to see the interior.
