Warsaw / Dining / French

A top-notch French joint, Absynt (absinthe) has proved something of a runaway hit on the Warsaw restaurant scene. A warm and friendly atmosphere and good service make it a great place for a quiet evening of sophisticated relaxation. Each week there’s a different speciality menu—don’t miss the Breton.

La Rotisserie is a small but high quality restaurant that seats around 30 guests and is perfect for an intimate evening meal. Located in Warsaw’s Old Town, in the 5-star luxury hotel Le Regina, this restaurant reflects the hotel’s historic class and elegance. Chef Pawel Oszczyk serves a combination of mainly French and Polish dishes – although some other European regions are included – and his cooking has made this one of Warsaw’s top restaurants. The atmosphere is relaxed and sociable due to the new-age jazz music which is played whilst you are dining. In summer, ask for a table in their courtyard. La Rotisserie has a great collection of interesting wines, liqueurs and cigars. Book in advance.

An excellently placed restaurant right on the main shopping street, it’s known for its delicious soups—the fish and the onion being the most popular—and good, wholesome, family-friendly fare. The perfect place to stop off for lunch on a Saturday shopping trip. Children, dogs and even cats all welcome.
