Great, authentic Italian food. Open seven days a week, usually from 11.30am until half-past midnight. You’ll need to make reservations, especially at the weekend.

One of Vienna’s best—and most expensive—Italian restaurants comprising an osteria, pizzeria, pesceria and caminetta. They open at varying times, but all remain open until 1am. Situated in the heart of the 1st District and famed for the best pizzas in the city. Danieli is open every day of the year, but you’ll always need a reservation.

Excellent home-made pasta restaurant with it’s own shop nearby, this is one of the 9th District’s best-kept secrets. Book in advance, and remember that last orders are at 9pm. Vegetarians are catered for but beware La Pasteria is. closed on Sundays, the former day of rest.
