The rooms are designed to make you feel at home, painted in relaxing hues with homey elements such as open fireplaces. An ideal location for access to the centre and the Old Town plus a renowned breakfast buffet makes this hotel a practical and pocket-friendly option.

Although the actual hotel is nothing to write home about, the location is fantastic, at the top of the Old Town with the National Opera, museums and bus station within a short walking distance. A hotel which caters for business people with staff to help plan business meetings and rent cars. But it is also a hotel for those who like to party, with every guest receiving a free to ticket to the Roxy nightclub.

The [name] of this hotel, owned by the British Latvian funds, when translated is “friends and relatives” and that is exactly how you will be treated on arriving here. The décor of the hotel is certainly very British, with racing green wallpaper and classic chairs adorning the rooms, but it will not just appeal to the British. The two business rooms are sure to suit any nationality and the friendly atmosphere will make even business at Radi Un Draugi a pleasure.

Although the pinky hues of the reception are a little off putting, fear not. The rooms, which only number 12 in this intimate little hotel, are tastefully decorated in white with more muted accompanying tones. Small but perfectly formed, Vecriga even offers a room for organising small seminars up to 25 people. Summertime makes a stay in this hotel more pleasant as dinner is served in their romantic little courtyard where you will be secluded by blooming fl owers.
