Next to the Radisson SAS Hotel Saga, this popular cinema has four auditoria. During the day these are lecture theatres for the university, so the flip-up desk tables might be a distraction for some. Believe it or not, this site is also the venue for the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra (until 2009).

Smárabíó is the largest and best-equipped cinema in the country. For an extra charge, you can buy a ticket for a ‘luxury’ showing, where large LazyBoy chairs and a drink are provided. Smárabío is in Kópavogur, a 10-minute taxi ride from Reykjavík.
