Nicosia / Accommodation / Good Value

A small, extremely friendly hotel with a cosy bar, this is a budget hotel used by many repeat visitors to Nicosia. Basic facilities, a short taxi ride from the old city and the business and shopping areas of Nicosia. Ayios Andreas is a very quiet area, but there are restaurants and fish tavernas clo se by.

A comfortable, neatly ordered hotel set just inside the Venetian walls of the old city. A good option for budget business and tourist travellers, located a few minutes walk from the main shopping areas of Ledra Street in the old town and Archbishop Makarios III Avenue just outside, and the bars and restaurants of Nicosia within the walls. Its stylish Blue Bar is a popular venue with visitors and locals, offering live soul and jazz music on some nights. It also has an exquisitely designed restaurant, 59 Knives, serving excellent local and French cuisine, with fine wines. A conference room can hold up to 100 guests.

This recently refurbished “boutique” hotel, which is excellent value, has a discrete atmosphere. Rather basic, with a cafeteria and bar in the lobby it is set in a quiet residential neighbourhood, but close to the main road running through Nicosia, so the business and shopping areas are easy to reach by taxi. The cafeteria menu is very limited, but good restaurants are located nearby.
