Situated next to the Hotel Savoy, this traditional British pub has the best range of whiskies and draught beers in town. At the weekends the wooden bar is normally packed with people enjoying the jovial atmosphere. So don’t expect to get a seat in one of the few leather armchairs.

Centiliter & Gram has tried to appeal to the slightly older, more discerning public around the Lilla Torg area—and has so far done a pretty good job. During weekends the queue outside is long, and the doorman picky. The DJ plays lively, mainstream music.

Stippes is an institution that seems to have been [open] forever. Here creatures of the night of all descriptions, from the mainstream to the outré, meet to feast on greasy burgers, fried bread and Hungarian sausages—you might regret the latter the morning after!

Thanks to its own bartender-trainee programme, Victors is the place to go for the most colourful cocktails in town. Crowded in the evenings, it [open]s until 3am. The interior is decorated in 50s-style, and the DJ always hits the spot. If you’re peckish, the restaurant serves medium-priced international dishes of a good standard.
