A modern bowling alley with food, gambling and dancing. In the evening, lights are dimmed and the 40-or-so alleys light up, the smoke machines starts and the music is cranked up. Waitresses run between the alleys with shots and beers, and the cries of victory or defeat tend to get louder by the hour. Restaurant Victors.

Maybe it’s not on a par with your average Las Vegas joint, but this is nevertheless a glittering casino situated in one of Malmö’s grandest buildings. Inside, there’s a palpable sense of excitement, both in the cocktail bar and at the tables. Besides the 198 slot machines, you can try your luck on everything from roulette, Black Jack, Caribbean stud, Texas hold’em, 7-card stud and the somewhat bizarre horseracing machine, Ascot.

Malmö’s largest movie theatre with eight screens and room for 1,010 people packs them in for the latest Hollywood blockbusters, popcorn and soda.

A small and intimate venue with functional design, Jeriko has a vast repertoire of concerts and touring club nights, where you might hear anything from standard jazz to cutting-edge hip-hop and house, depending on which night you visit. Since the events are always changing, check the local entertainment press for updated information.

Malmö’s number one rock’n’ roll venue for the last 20 [year]s, Kulturbolaget is a Swedish institution and legendary for attracting the most famous international artists—rom Bob Dylan to David Bowie—to its intimate stage. Every local musician or band leader in town dreams of getting a gig here. On Fridays and Saturdays the concerts are followed by DJs, when the older crowd tends to withdraw to the adjoining and more laidback American diner-style Vinylbaren.
