Impressive surroundings match the impeccable service at Il Gusto. Chef Claudio Turrin is on view in the kitchen behind a glass window. Taglionini with white Alba truffl es, and a wonderful roast lamb are some of the dishes that stand out on the relatively small menu. Sophisticated if just a little unadventurous. Best to book.

El Teatriz, designed by Philippe Starck, is housed in the stalls of a former theatre. Beautiful old curtains surround the stage, which now houses one of the two bars. The food is Italian-inspired and creative. Make sure you have a look at the amazing toilets downstairs—mirrors, frosted glass steel and more mirrors. Teatriz is good for tapas too.
