The four-star Best Western Imperial Hotel am Palmengarten is an excellent downtown business hotel. It has 60 well-appointed standard bedrooms all fully equipped for the business traveller. There’s a complimentary full breakfast. Other services include massage, foreign currency exchange, sightseeing tours and garage parking. The hotel bar is ideal for post-meeting drinks and is stocked with a large selection of German beers.

Located on the banks of the River Main and just a few minutes away from the theatre, banking districts and shopping areas, the 21-storey InterContinental is a haven of comfort and luxury. Being the second largest hotel in the city, inevitably, it can feel a little impersonal, but the comfort level is high. In many rooms, guests can wallow in oversized baths. Even more relaxing are the lavish health club and bathing facilities. Signatures Veranda Restaurant serves Eurasian cuisine, or there’s Leons Restaurant for Italian. The DAXx Mainhattan’s Bar offers cocktails, appetisers and live music.

The Moevenpick Hotel, located 15km outside the city, is ideal if you want to stay away from the hubbub of city life. Aimed at the business traveller, the Oberursel is well connected to the city centre and a 20-minute drive from Frankfurt airport. Guestrooms have simple decor, but are fully equipped for executive needs, including Internet access and standard and dual-line phones. Some rooms even have waterbeds and mini kitchens. The Moevenpick Restaurant is famous for its top-notch food, and the Bar Oase with its large terrace and garden is the ideal place to relax after a busy day.

At this hotel you can enjoy deluxe comfort close to the airport, as well as good connections to downtown Frankfurt and the Exhibition Centre. The Waldrestau-rant Unterschweinstiege is a warm and welcoming restaurant that was originally a forest dwelling and is 250 years old. Rustic regional fare is served with the emphasis on seasonal local ingredients and every Sunday the restaurant hosts a family buffet. Every Friday, Austrian specialities are served. If you over-indulge and need to work out, you can use the well equipped gym, swim in the heated indoor pool, or relax in the Finnish sauna
