Bosphorus enjoys a unique location in a glass walled building on its own pier, with exceptional views of the Bay. Come for the view, and the vast array of meze. Servings are substantial and although the food on the menu is largely meat oriented there are some good vegetarian options. The wine list is not as extensive as that of neighbouring restaurants on the Bay.

A far cry from the average curry house, the Cinnamon Tree serves top-notch Indian food at reasonable prices. Subtle lighting and attractive decor create a pleasant mood, whether you’re dining alone, as a couple or in a group. Service is fairly standard. Beware the heat, chefs here are very generous with the spices.

Overlooking the waterfront at Cardiff Bay, Izakaya benefi ts from its prime location. There is a choice of ordinary tables or sunken tables with mats to sit on, and two bamboo-partitioned rooms. The picture menu is a great help if you’re not a sushi expert. As is often the case with sushi, portions are small for the price, but it’s good quality, and you’ll be thanked for your custom in Japanese.
