With its fantastic views from the second tallest building in Cardiff, and well equipped Vital spa and health club, newcomer Holland House is close contender for Cardiff’s premier hotel. All in all, it offers over and above its four-star rating, and has friendly and attentive service. The stained-glass backdrop in the lobby and the elegant lighting features in the halls and conference rooms ooze class. Enjoy the warm and inviting bar and restaurant where a pianist plays once a week.

Seconds from the main shopping precinct and adjacent to the landmark Cardiff castle, the Hilton, in a new, circular, white-stone building, has one of the best locations in the city. With a fully equipped business centre, one ballroom and six meeting rooms, not to mention fantastic service, the Hilton has it all. The cocktail bar, Steam, and Razzi Piano Bar provide evening entertainment including, as the [name] suggests, a pianist at the latter, twice a week. Dining in the hotel’s high-end Razzi restaurant has been compared to eating in a goldfi sh bowl, but this is one smart bowl.
