An art-deco hangout for everyone from jazz afficionados to people who just want a cool place to have a cocktail. There is usually live jazz at weekends from 5pm.

Set up in 1962, this museum has a rich archive of film history and screens art-house cinema on a daily basis.

Brussels’ fabulous opera house La Monnaie is well worth a visit. Tickets can be hard to come by, though, with many productions selling out months in advance.

This multi-screen cinema is one of several places in Brussels to enjoy English language (and other original version) films.
