An aquapark with various indoor and outdoor heated pools and slides in the village of Senec, about 20 minutes drive from Bratislava. Regular buses run from the main station while a taxi can be arranged for about £10 from the city centre.

Sparx is the moniker of the renovated Mamut, formerly one of central Europe’s largest beer halls. The newfangled neon and sparkle hasn’t penetrated the subterranean billiards hall, now called the Admiral Club, where beer and cigarettes still hold sway.
