Offers an excellent selection of new, frequently off-beat films. The programme is usually changed weekly. One caveat: if the film isn’t in Dutch, it will have Dutch subtitles, so a film spoken in Chinese, for example, will have only Dutch subtitles.

Although the Tushinski is now, sadly, part of a cinema chain, it is one of the few surviving Art Deco cinemas left in Europe. There remains one great hall for seeing films (in addition to several small ones) and the interior has not been changed much. In fact, the building is so spectacular on its own, you can take a tour of it (€7, or the special moonlight tour €10).
