Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a fabulous Buddha statue, but this restaurant is anything but peaceful! High ceilings give way to terrible acoustics, so if you want to chat to your neighbour sit outside in the courtyard. Service is fast and the food is delicious, but you cannot make reservations, so arrive early to avoid a long wait.

No trip to Sydney is complete without sampling Doyles seafood. Established for more than 100 years (that’s pretty remarkable in Australia!) you’ll find a mouth-watering range of seafood served in the most beautiful surroundings on the foreshore of Watsons Bay. If you’re feeling hungry, try one of the hot and cold platters for two.

A true Sydney icon, it may not look anything special but this is the spot if you’re having an attack of late-night munchies. The pies, peas and chilli hot-dogs are renowned throughout the state. It’s located right on the water with five-star views. And we’ve been told the pies taste sensational even when you’re sober!
