Boasting French-Californian cuisine from chef Peter Schintler, the aquatic-inspired Blu is ideal for occasion dining. Enjoy the view in the bar before savouring a truly sensual dining experience. From decor to service, from food to soothing jazz sounds, it’s a perfect recipe for that special night out—even better on company expenses.

The appeal of Brewerkz’s home-cooked hearty American fare simply cannot be ignored, and it even won a Gold Medal at the International Beer Awards.

Best entered via Coleman Street (behind the fire station), this is a fabulous venue for long lunches or celebratory dinners. Prices are surprisingly reasonable, and hopefully standards haven’t declined since the untimely departure of the chef, swept up in a high-profile cocaine bust.

The portions are almost too big, so it’s probably best to sample Morton’s of Chicago in a group and share. Avoid filling up on the fresh onion loaf before your meal. Morton’s popularity meant it continued to thrive despite the Oriental Hotel’s extensive and disruptive renovations.

As with most restaurants in Singapore, food is quite reasonable but drinks will stack up on your bill. All the food here is excellent, but oven-baked cod with miso, fish and chips, scallops, oysters and calamari are favourite dishes at this refreshing seafront location.
