The most relaxing spot in Itaewon. Set in a huge, converted villa and spread over multiple levels, Gecko’s Garden consists of a restaurant, two bars, courtyards and balconies, all with a Mediterranean feel. A great place for a glass of wine, a cocktail or a beer. Tapas is served and there are lunch barbecues on Sundays in summer.

Well-off Koreans and older expatriates frequent this upscale and stylish jazz bar. Hotel-style food (at hotel-style prices) is served along with the live music. The owner himself occasionally gets up to jam.

Nice concept: a champagne bar with Belgian-style food, primarily frites and mussels, set in the midst of the Apgujeong district. Stylish, quiet and low-lit, this is probably more suitable for romance than business, but who’s quibbling?
