Osaka / Accommodation / Contemporary

Hotel Hanshin earns the cool label by being the only hotel in Osaka with its own hot-springs bath, which is fed by a natural hot spring that flows deep underneath the hotel. Located on the western edge of the Umeda district, the Hotel Hanshin is right beside Fukushima station on the JR Loop line, and about 10 minutes by foot from the Umeda and Kitashinchi districts. During baseball season, hordes of Hanshin Tigers baseball fans (the team and the hotel are under the same management) use the hotel as their base as Koshien stadium is only about 15 minutes away.

The Hotel Monterey chain is wellknown throughout Japan for its Italian architecture and beautifully decorated Western-style rooms. Beds are particularly comfortable and the hotel is a great choice for those who want the elegance of a five-star hotel without paying for all of the extra amenities. It is located in the city’s Kitashinchi district, right beside Umeda. The Monterey gets particularly crowded on weekends, when it hosts numerous wedding parties.
