Kai is more of a bar than a club and it gets pretty hectic at the weekend now that South Street is gone. There’s good seating upstairs and the drinks are cheap—a crowd pleaser.

Mix seems to always be full. Having been recently extended into its neighbouring rivals, the place is now huge. Book a table, buy a bottle of Chivas and dance the night away.

There is a large Korean community and they usually transform Propaganda’s basement into a huge dance party (hip-hop only) on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Tango is big. No, it’s huge! Escape the main dance floor and relax in the lounge bar upstairs. The dance music is good and foreign DJs frequently play sets here. When you begin to feel tired, go next door to Jindingxuan restaurant, which serves excellent dim sum.

Vics is a staple for any fun night out. Spread over two levels, there’s a bar and a seating area on the ground level with dance music and a high-ceiling dance floor in the basement.
