This is a great place for both the more mainstream of the exotic Belgian beers and the oven-baked pizzas. New location in the alleyway behind Poacher’s, but everything is just as it was. Typical expat bar, only because it’s so cosy.

This was one of the first bars in Beijing and it’s full every single weekend and often on Thursdays as well. Drinks are ridiculously cheap and the music is loud. Great fun.

This is the place to watch team games as The Den actually sponsors the Beijing rugby team. When the games are over, that’s when the fun begins. The bar is downstairs, the dancefloor upstairs, and it’s a good place to find company on weekend nights.

Make sure you get a seat on the roof if you go to this bar. The view is pretty, day or night, and if the visibility doesn’t provide a view, the bar inside offers an intimate rainy-day atmosphere.
