This is one of the best Japanese sushi restaurants in Beijing. The decor is stylish and the place so impeccably clean that you have no worries about eating raw fish. The chicken teriyaki is excellent, and there’s both Japanese and Western-style seating. Great value for money.

With 20 different set lunch menus, the Keikoku Restaurant inside Hotel Kunlun is the one to choose for an excellent Japanese lunch at a reasonable price. And if you want hand-rolled sushi or kobe beef, they have it here too. Appreciate the beautiful, open-plan grill kitchen.

This is one of the most stylish Japanese restaurants in town, and for a change it isn’t in Chaoyang. At the very cheap end for Japanese restaurants, Six Root Tree offers a daily all-you-can-eat menu for less than £5—and that includes drinks! The food is still good for the price.
